Celebrity guest experts include Jonathan Scott and Drew Scott from W Network’s Property Brothers presented by Scotiabank as well as an exclusive Toronto appearance by paint legend Annie Sloan, creator of ChalkPaint™, who is one of world’s most respected experts in the field of decorative painting and the author of 23 books on painting techniques. Back by Popular Demand – Habitat for Humanity Toronto Upcycle Challenge: Unhinged
In celebration of the Fall Home Show’s 25th anniversary and the 25th anniversary of Habitat for Humanity Toronto, 25 celebrity experts and emerging style, décor and DIY bloggers will be taking part in the 2nd annual Upcycle Challenge: Unhinged. They will source and repurpose 25 doors from Habitat for Humanity Toronto ReStore into functional upcycled items or hand painted pieces of art. Confirmed participants include: Glen Peloso (celebrity designer) and Jamie Alexander (designer); Mag Ruffman (Tool Girl, TV host, producer, writer, woodworker, welder); Vicky Sanderson (home product specialist) with Jim Connelly; Staci Edwards (Switch Studio); Lindsey Gerrish (LGrecreated) and Leigh- Ann Allaire Perrault (Cityline expert and Colour Aficionado) to name a few.
The doors will be on display in the Habitat Toronto Exhibit Area at the Fall Home Show and throughout the show. Each door is up for auction onsite during the show. Visitors can also vote for their favourite door on the Facebook Page leading up to the show. The door with the most votes will receive the grand prize of a $500 Visa card. All proceeds from the bids will be used to support the ongoing work of Habitat for Humanity Toronto.
